Yaolu Village
Multiethnic communities dwell at the mountain's base, where urban and rural wonders blend.
Yaolu Village is an ancient multi-ethnic settlement nestled at the foot of Yaoren Mountain. Its name derives from the nearby peak, with “lu” signifying the mountain's base. Here, ethnic cultures intertwine as Shui, Miao, Buyi, and Han peoples coexist. The settlement comprises dozens of natural hamlets—Chakoukou, Gulü, Bamiao—dotted among the mountains. Its unique appeal lies in its proximity to the county seat and its commanding views of extraordinary landscapes. Situated at the urban-rural fringe, it forms a “half-hour weekend suburban economic zone” for pastoral leisure experiences. Surrounded by abundant tourist attractions, it boasts the mysterious Gulü Egg-Laying Cliff Scenic Area (a national 3A-rated site) and the Wanhui Water Village showcasing Shui culture. The cliff's peculiar phenomenon of occasionally dropping stone eggs adds a unique geological charm to the village.
