Overview
This guesthouse is in Chongzikou Alley in Zhenyuan Ancient Town.It is a 600-year-old historic residence that has been renovated. It is 50 meters north of the intersection of Xinglong Street and Chongzikou Alley, on the east side of the road. The guesthouse combines two types of Chinese architecture: Jiangnan courtyard and Qiandongnan stilted house. It has blue-tiled roofs, white walls, and carved window lattices. Bat murals in the courtyard symbolize “fortune at hand,” and the bluestone-paved courtyard has a “four-water-converging-hall” layout. Twelve guest rooms across eight types have modern amenities and smart systems. They have a minimalist, elegant style with natural wood tones. The on-site facilities include a restaurant, tea room, and outdoor lounge. There are workshops on intangible cultural heritage crafts, tea appreciation sessions, and guided tours of the ancient town. If you walk for five minutes, you will find Qinglong Cave and a restaurant that serves traditional sour soup fish. You can see Ming and Qing dynasty architecture outside the windows. This makes it a good choice if you want to experience slow living in Zhenyuan Ancient Town.
