Banpao Village

Banpao Village is nestled along the Beipan River in Liangtian Town, Zhenning Buyei and Miao Autonomous County, Anshun City, Guizhou Province. Perched against the mountains and surrounded by honey-sweet plum orchards, it boasts picturesque scenery. This predominantly Buyei settlement is home to over 98% Buyei residents, known for their simple and honest ways. This area holds deep revolutionary significance as the historic site where the Third Red Army Corps crossed the river during combat operations. Yang Dengfeng's residence, serving as the former temporary command post, is designated a provincial-level cultural heritage site. The village also features a Red Exhibition Hall and Red Army Square. Integrating revolutionary history, ethnic culture, and ecological industries, Banpao Village has developed cultural tourism routes centered on Zhenning honey plums. It has been honored as a Traditional Village of China, a Key Rural Tourism Village in Guizhou Province, and a National Civilized Village.
