Fenghe Village

Ancient fortress nestled deep in the forest, Miao and Shui celebrate the harvest festival together.

Located in Gui Lan Shui Ethnic Township, Duyun City, Fenghe Village boasts a forest coverage rate of 86%. This traditional settlement, predominantly inhabited by the Shui ethnic group with multiple ethnicities coexisting, holds the titles of “China's Ethnic Minority Characteristic Village” and “China's Traditional Village.” The village's core charm lies in its vibrantly preserved ethnic festivals. Each year, the grand Miao “New Rice Festival” unfolds through activities like gate-blocking wine ceremonies, reed pipe dances, bullfighting, and field fish-catching, painting a vivid picture of ethnic unity and shared harvest celebrations with visitors. The Shui ethnic group's “Duan Festival” is also preserved here.

The Langmu Water Village within the settlement preserves its rustic atmosphere, offering immersive experiences in Shui script, Shui paper-cutting, and distinctive local cuisine.
