Lengdong Village

Nestled in the karst stone mountains of Zerong Town, Xingyi City, Guizhou Province, Lengdong Village once grappled with severe rock desertification. Embracing the “Guizhou Spirit” of “fearless perseverance and arduous struggle,” villagers carved land from the mountains and preserved seedlings through mineral water bottle drip irrigation during extreme droughts, achieving a remarkable ecological transformation. Today, the village boasts a 75% forest coverage rate and has been designated a provincial key village for rural tourism.

The village has developed a three-dimensional ecological industry: green trees on the mountaintops, honeysuckle and dendrobium orchids on the slopes, and grain storage and livestock farming at the base. Over 2,000 acres of honeysuckle and nearly 2,000 acres of dendrobium orchids thrive in the crevices of the rocks, completing the transformation from barren wasteland to a treasure trove of natural resources.
