Che Tian Village

Three rivers encircle the ancient hamlet, where Miao and Han alike revel in “Little Huaxi.”

Nestled at the eastern edge of Huchao Township in Guian New Area, Guizhou Province, Che Tian Village lies just a 25-minute drive from downtown Guiyang. Comprising three natural hamlets with a two-century history, it derives its name from waterwheel irrigation. Three converging streams create the “mountains and waters encircling Che Tian” landscape, earning it the reputation of “Little Huaxi.” Here, Miao and Han cultures blend harmoniously, featuring the nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage of Didi Opera. The Che Tian Cultural Center, integrating traditional elements, has won international awards. Leveraging its karst landscapes and water systems, the village develops rural tourism attractions like Ask the Immortal Valley and Rose Garden, offering leisure activities and fruit picking. It has been honored as a National Civilized Village and a Grade A Rural Tourism Village in Guizhou Province.
