Program Introduction

Once a renowned provincial scenic area, Zijiang Gorge has now cast off glitz and returned to a wild, unspoiled hiking paradise. At its narrowest, the gorge is a mere two meters wide, as if cleaved by an axe, where the raging river waters converge and roar. Walking through it feels like stepping into a hidden fold of the earth, with hundred-meter-high sheer cliffs, veil-like waterfalls cascading from the precipices, and extraordinary travertine formations shaped over millions of years before your eyes. Hiking here is a pure pilgrimage to the power of nature.
