Program Introduction
Hidden in the Sancha River is a deep rift called Cat Leaping Gorge. It lives up to its name, with a depth of over 100 meters and sheer, chiseled cliffs. The river water stays a serene yet mysterious blue-green color year-round, resembling an "ice-blue ribbon" embedded into the earth. The 9 to 12-kilometer hiking loop leads you from the idyllic countryside deep into the thundering heart of the canyon, a visual and spiritual journey from gentle serenity to grandeur.

Trail selection
The riverbank stones are slippery, so extra caution is needed when walking. It is recommended to join a team or guide familiar with the trail; do not explore unmarked paths alone.

Photography tips
At the best photo spots in the gorge, try long-exposure shots of the water flow. Capturing the silk-like water wrapping around the boulders creates stunning dynamic-and-static photos.
