Program Introduction

The name of Lianhua Ancient Cave derives from a magical sight inside: water droplets falling from the cave ceiling have struck a boulder platter year after year, eventually penetrating the rock to create a lotus formation with distinct petals. Shexiang Cave, by contrast, is a world of entirely different scenery. Its colossal chamber is breathtaking in scale. The rock formations unfurl like a galaxy under the headlamps, earning it the name "Cosmic Dome" and striking an instant sense of nature's grandeur and time's profundity. In a single day, step from a poem of light and shadow into an epic of geology.
