Shuangru Peak
Scenic Area Introduction
Zhenfeng Shuangru Peak Scenic Area is a breathtaking national AAAA-level tourist attraction in Guizhou Province, China. It features two karst peaks that perfectly capture both form and spirit, earning it the titles of “World Wonder” and “Geological Masterpiece.” Even more miraculous is how the peaks' contours shift with viewing angles, revealing rhythms of life from youthful vitality to full-figured grace—a masterpiece of nature's artistry.
Within the ancient Buyi ethnic culture, these peaks are revered as “Mother Earth” or “Sacred Earth Mother.” The Buyi people regard them as the source of life and fertility, fostering a unique tradition of maternal worship. The pavilion within the scenic area bears the inscription: “Nurturing spirit, energy, and the cosmos; feeding clouds, mist, and the sun and moon”—a vivid reflection of this profound reverence.
For visitors from afar, this is more than a visual spectacle. Stroll to the viewing platform and witness the peaks transform before your eyes with every step. The scenic area also integrates rich Bouyei cultural heritage, such as the “living fossil of sound”—the Eight-Tone Seated Singing performance—alongside hands-on experiences like batik dyeing and ancient pottery-making techniques. Adjacent to this, the Zhulinbao Stone Forest resembles a natural sculpture park of bizarre rock formations, sparking endless imagination.
