Introduction
Located in Leishan County, Qiandongnan Prefecture of Guizhou Province, the village has a total of 1,468 households with over 6,000 residents. Among them, 99.5% are indigenous Miao people. Spanning 5.5 square kilometers, it is reputed as the largest Miao-inhabited village in China and even the world, and has earned accolades like "open-air museum of Miao culture" and "China's most beautiful Miao village." "Visit Xijiang to know all about Miao villages." Surrounded by mountains with rolling peaks, the terraced fields follow the mountain contours all the way to the sky. The Baishui River flows through the village, dividing Xijiang Miao Village into two parts. Inside the village, stilt houses rise tier upon tier along the mountainside, stretching into a continuous and magnificent expanse.
