Minghu National Wetland Park

Scenic Area Introduction

For travelers seeking China's ecological beauty, Minghu National Wetland Park stands as an unmissable destination. Not only is it Guizhou Province's first wetland park to receive national recognition, but it also serves as an urban ecological oasis adjacent to Liupanshui's city center—perfectly blending natural wilderness, modern design, and a refreshing climate.

Spanning 197.7 hectares, the park comprises five wetland clusters—including the Longguidi Reservoir, the headwaters of the Shuicheng River, and the “One-Line-Sky” Gorge—forming a vibrant composite ecosystem. This exceptional window into biodiversity hosts 259 plant species and 175 wild vertebrates, including the precious Guizhou salamander and white-bellied pheasant. The park's most striking landmark is the 1,113-meter-long steel ribbon bridge winding over the lake. Its vibrant colors and fluid lines resemble a dancing rainbow, seamlessly connecting the landscape like a scroll painting. This design has earned international recognition, including the American Society of Landscape Architects Design Honor Award.

The park offers diverse experiences. Stroll across the ribbon bridge for panoramic lake and mountain views, or venture into the “One-Line Sky” canyon. Explore the 1.4-kilometer wooden walkway to experience the thrill of “deep valleys and perilous peaks.” As a renowned “Cool Capital of China,” the park offers exceptionally refreshing summer weather, making it an ideal summer retreat.
