Maolan Karst Forest, located in Libo County, is the heart of the "South China Karst" World Natural Heritage site and hailed as the "Emerald on Earth's Belt". It boasts the only and best-preserved primitive karst forest ecosystem at the same latitude on Earth, serving as a natural laboratory for studying karst landforms and forest ecology. Unlike the common karst rocky desertification landscape, Maolan's wonder lies in "forests thriving on stone". Dense tree roots cling tenaciously to rock crevices, creating the unique landscapes of "forests on stone" and "funnel forests". This primitive hidden paradise boasts extraordinary biodiversity and is home to countless rare plants and animals.
