Scenic Area Overview

Huawu Village, is under the jurisdiction of Xinren Miao Ethnic Township, Qianxi City, Bijie City, Guizhou Province. Located on the north bank of Dongfeng Lake and the Yachi River Grand Canyon, part of the Wujiang Source Baili Gallery, and sits at the confluence of two rivers (Yadian River and Liuchong River). With an altitude ranging from 870 to 1360 meters, it has long been known as "a rooster's crow reaches three counties". Boasting magnificent landscapes, the village was first established during the Qing Dynasty. Huawu Village, originally named "Huawuji" meaning "a village beneath the cliffs", is a centuries-old Miao village. Covering a total area of 8.2 square kilometers, it consists of three villager groups: Qianzhi, Chahe, and Ziyou. Home to three ethnic groups—Miao, Yi, and Han—it is the most representative Miao settlement in both Xinren Township and even Qianxi City.
