Most of the time, answers do not arrive ahead of schedule.
We can only carry our questions and keep moving forward, leaving the rest to time.
In 2026, Mr. Turtle completed their new album *If Spring Comes,
The trailing comma was left untouched. When this phrase first came to mind, Li Hongqi’s first thought was:
“Are you ready?”
It is not about jubilation, nor about whether things go smoothly. It feels more like a commitment — a gaze full of affection, never urging, only waiting earnestly.
Over the past 22 years, the band has never sought stability by conforming to the world, nor gained momentary ease through avoidance. The world turns too fast; too many things are consumed and quickly replaced. We always wonder: where do we stand right now?
Nine new songs each return to reality itself. Setting out is not born of certainty, but because the direction we cherish is worth one more risk. Some questions go beyond what reason can answer, so we can only pay gentle tribute to everything we see. Some moments are loss, are exit, are standing on the edge of will, almost powerless — yet these have never been hidden, nor used as a reason to turn away.
In the end, when the album was finished, it always felt like something was missing.
Li Hongqi said what was missing was:
“Everyone.”
After more than two decades, the members of Mr. Turtle have gained a deeper sense of cherish. Most things have been experienced: they have blamed each other, and supported each other. But looking back, one thing has never changed: stubbornly doing things in the clumsiest, slowest way.
This journey naturally includes the anticipation for live shows.
When we set off from our separate lives, pack our bags, and gather again for rock and roll that night, the unfinished comma finally has “everyone” after it. The final track *Nursery Rhyme* is written for grown-up us with childlike tenderness. One line from the song is something we want to carry with us along the way:
In the near future, the road is hurried;
Infinite love, take me home.
If Spring Comes,
2026 Mr. Turtle New Album Tour
Spring is still on the way.
Let’s go home together.
